Languedoc is located in the South of France, stretching from the Mediterranean coast between the rivers Aude and Rhone. It extends northwards into the Cevennes (which are the southern part of the Massif Central). Roussillon extends from the Aude to the Pyrenees. |
Gard, is a French Department that covers mostly the area between the rivers Rhone and Vidourle (with the exception of the Rhone delta), and extends into the Cevennes and Cevennes National Park. It has a very small coastline between Grau de Roi and Etang des Salants. |
